Crews put out early morning Kamloops house fire

KAMLOOPS – Firefighters quickly dealt with a house fire in Kamloops early this morning.

Kamloops Fire and Rescue Platoon Capt. David Ferguson says crews were called to a home at 5 Avenue and Nicola Street at around 12:25 a.m., March 5.

Ferguson says the fire was mostly confined to the porch and siding, but did get into a bathroom through a window that broke.

He says crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly.

No one was hurt.

Fire investigators are looking for the cause of the blaze.
