Indigenous playwright Cliff Cardinal explores taboo subcultures and the heart of darkness in HUFF performances

Packed with folklore, harsh reality and darkly comic turns by playwright-performer Cliff Cardinal, HUFF presents an unflinching view of trauma through an indigenous lens.

The award-winning, one-man tour-de-force tells the story of First Nations brothers caught in a torrent of solvent abuse in the wake of their mother’s untimely death.

Cardinal’s celebrated performance has toured the country to rave reviews. HUFF won the 2015 RBC Tarragon Emerging Playwright Prize and the 2012 Buddies in Bad Times Vanguard Award for Risk & Innovation.
