Fatal car crash on Trans Canada near Salmon Arm

KAMLOOPS – One person was killed and another taken to hospital in serious condition following a car crash near Salmon Arm Saturday morning.

RCMP say the collision happened on the Salmon River Bridge at about 7:45 a.m., March 5, closing the Trans Canada in both direction for hours.

The collision was between a car from Alberta and a truck from B.C. according Staff Sgt. Scott West at the Salmon Arm RCMP detachment.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the truck was air lifted to hospital.
