Water repairs may affect some Kamloops neighbourhoods this week

KAMLOOPS – The city is warning residents in some neighbourhoods water work make affect their service this week.

On Thursday, March 10, work on the Juniper Water Booster Station will begin, with repairs scheduled from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The repairs will allow flexibility in water pipes as the station shifts.

During this period the Valleyview press zone area will be switched to North Shore reservoirs, which may lower the water pressure in North Kamloops, Brocklehurst, Westsyde and Valleyview.

Residents in these neighbourhoods may also see discoloured water, but the city says the water is not harmful. If water is discoloured, running the cold water tap should eliminate the issue.

Three future repair dates will be coming to the area and residents of Juniper Ridge are warned delays due to construction may occur on Highland Drive.
