Changes to Royal Inland Hospital emergency department as medical records system gets upgraded

KAMLOOPS – Royal Inland Hospital is getting a new electronic system to store medical records and will be undergoing renovations for the next six to eight weeks.

During the construction, the public should note the patient triage area is now temporarily located near the second-storey parkade entrance.

Signage and information to direct patients is posted to indicate the change.

Once upgrades are complete, staff will use the new system to create medical files rather than creating written orders on paper.

If you do not require emergency services, you are urged to avoid the emergency department entrance during the renovation period.
