Juno winners headlining Sun Peaks summer concert series

SUN PEAKS – Sun Peaks will kick off its Summer Concert Series with the Juno award-winning Sam Roberts Band.

Montreal rockers Sam Roberts Band will be heading up the mountain to play in the series July 8 to 10.

"We're excited to be coming out to Sun Peaks for the first time," Roberts says in a press release. "It's always a pleasure to play music for B.C. crowds.”

The Sam Roberts Band has six Junos to its name, including Artist of the Year twice in 2004 and 2009. The band’s most notable tracks include Brother Down,Detroit ’67 and We’re all in this Together.

Sun Peaks will be hosting the band as part of the Summer Concert Series, which includes two summer weekends of free live music and activities at the mountain resort. The second weekend is the last weekend of August.
