Calgary man killed in crash near Salmon Arm identified

SALMON ARM – A man from Calgary has been identified as the person killed in a crash between a car and a half-ton truck on the Trans Canada last weekend.

Jonah Jessie Daniel Nanosh Triton Kosowan, 24, died in the collision on the Salmon River Bridge on Highway 1, March 5, according to a media release from the B.C. Coroners Service.

Kosowan was the driver and only person in the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup was airlifted to hospital in serious condition.

Both the coroners service and RCMP continue to investigate.
