Kelowna Rockets blast Spokane

SPOKANE – The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Spokane Chiefs 6-1 at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena in Spokane on Saturday night, March 12, winning their 46th game of the season.

Six different Rockets scored for Kelowna, which scored two power play goals and improved to 46-18-4-0 on the season.

Rourke Chartier, Dillon Dube and Cal Foote each had a goal and two assists to lead the offense while Tomas Soustal, Rodney Southam and Tyson Baillie, with his 40th of the season, also scored for the Rockets.

Baillie was playing in his 325th regular season game and moved into third all-time for his Rockets career, behind Tyler Mosienko (338) and Jason Deleurme (341).

Michael Herringer earned the win in net for Kelowna, who outshot Spokane 29-25 in the game.

The Rockets close out its weekend action on Sunday afternoon in Tri-City before it returns home on Wednesday to host the Victoria Royals.
