Some of the most active companies traded Thursday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Aerospace, rail equipment. Down eight cents, or 3.08 per cent, to $2.52 on 8.8 million shares.

Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Financial Services. Up one cent, or 0.04 per cent, to $23.55 on 5.9 million shares.

First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM). Miner. Down 64 cents, or 3.56 per cent, to $17.33 on 4.5 million shares.

Iamgold Corp. (TSX:IMG). Miner. Down one cent, or 0.39 per cent, to $2.56 on 3.3 million shares.

Crescent Point Energy Corp. (TSX:CPG). Oil and gas. Down 70 cents, or 2.50 per cent, to $27.33 on 2.9 million shares.

Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Up five cents, or 1.66 per cent, to $3.07 on 2.8 million shares.

Companies reporting major news:

Restaurant Brands International Inc. (TSX:QSR). Fast food restaurants. Down three cents, or 0.06 per cent, to $48.31 on 190,906 shares. Ads for pipeline giant Enbridge will no longer be seen on Tims TV at more than 1,500 Tim Hortons locations between British Columbia and Ontario. A group called SumOfUs launched an online petition calling on the company to yank the ads, accusing it of “shilling” for the oilsands shipper.
