School district appoints new superintendent

KAMLOOPS – The school district will have new leadership for the next school year.

Alison Sidow has been hired for the top staff position with School District 73. She'll take over at the beginning of August, 2016.

With Supt. Karl deBruijn retiring at the end of July this year, the school district has been looking for a replacement since November 2015.

Sidow has been with the district for four years and is currently an assistant superintendent. She’ll continue in the role until this summer.

In a press release the school board states it searched across the country for a replacement and received 20 applications for the position.
