Ruzicka sparks Stockton Heat to 3-2 win over Abbotsford Canucks in AHL
STOCKTON, Calif. – Adam Ruzicka scored the eventual game-winner for the Stockton Heat in a 3-2 win over the visiting Abbotsford Canucks on Friday in the AHL.
Ruzicka scored his team-leading seventh goal at 14:16 of the third period. Abbotsford’s John Stevens pulled the Canucks within a goal at 18:39, but Abbotsford couldn’t generate an equalizer.
Ruzicka, 22, has seven goals and four assists in seven games so far this season.
Byron Froese and Glenn Gawdin also scored for Stockton (6-0-1-0), while Heat goaltender Dustin Wolff stopped 28 shots for the win.
Cameron Schilling also scored for Abbotsford (3-3-2-0). Michael DiPietro turned away 33 shot in the Canucks’ net.
