Water repairs may affect Juniper and Rosehill areas in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – Water repairs will once again affect some neighbourhoods in Kamloops next week.

On Tuesday, March 22, the Juniper Water Booster Station will get its third of four repair days. The repairs will be between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Residents of Juniper and Rosehill may see their water pressure impacted by the repairs, as pumps will be shut off. However, reservoirs will be filled before hand to help offset any potential issues.

Other neighbourhoods which may have been affected by previous repairs will not see any changes to their water service on Monday.

The work may also affect traffic on Highland Drive until March 31.

The city is making emergency repairs to the station after it shifted due to unstable ground.

The work now should halt further shifting and allow the pipes attached to the station some flexibility.
