Roof of Kelowna condo catches fire

KELOWNA – Kelowna firefighters successfully knocked down a fire on the roof of a three storey townhouse early this morning.

Firefighters received the call to Ambrosi Court shortly before 6:30 a.m., March 18, and responded with three engines, one rescue truck and 18 crew.

A media release from Kelowna Fire Department Platoon Capt. Tim Light says no one was injured however two suites was damaged by fire and water.

“The building is sprinklered and the sprinklers were activated assisting in the extinguishment,” he says.

Light does not say what caused the fire or if an investigation is underway.
