MOSCOW – Ukraine’s military says seven soldiers have died in eastern Ukraine after their truck hit a mine near the largest city in the war-torn east.
A statement on the Facebook page for the military operation against the Russia-backed separatist rebels says the truck blew up on Monday near the town of Krasnogoryvka, about 15 kilometres (10 miles) west of Donetsk.
The military says the truck hit what is believed to have been an anti-tank mine laid by rebels.
