Headquarters for cheap flights coming to Winnipeg airport

WINNIPEG – A new low-cost carrier in Canada says it will soon call Manitoba’s capital home.

New Leaf Travel Co. is making its headquarters at the Winnipeg International Airport where flights will be available to and from Hamilton and Kelowna, B.C.

Chief executive Jim Young says travellers will be able to choose a vacation package and then add on hotels, rental cars, ground transportation and things to do.

He says there will be an announcement with more details about the packages and an expanded list of destinations.
