BCHL Playoffs: Penticton Vees down West Kelowna Warriors

PENTICTON – The Penticton Vees opened the BCHL Interior Division final with a 5-1 win over the West Kelowan Warriors last night at the South Okanagan Events Centre, March. 18.

Easton Brodzinski had a goal and four points for the Vees.

Scott Conway had a pair of first period goals and Tyson Jost and Owen Sillinger scored in the third period.

Connor Sodergren was the only Warrior to beat Driscoll, when he redirected a point-shot midway through the second period. 

Vees netminder Zach Driscoll kicked out 18 of 19 shots.

Matt Greenfield took the loss in the West Kelowna net, allowing five goals on 24 shots; he was pulled after the Vees’ fifth goal.

Game two of the best-of-seven Interior Division final goes tonight at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
