PENTICTON – The Penticton Vees came from behind to beat the West Kelowna Warriors 3-2 in overtime in game two of the BCHL Interior Division final last night, March 19, at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
Scott Conway scored the winner for the Vees six minutes into the extra period.
Conway also scored the game-tying goal with 58-seconds left in regulation to force the game into overtime. Demico Hannoun scored the other goal in regulation for the Vees and Zach Driscoll stopped 23 of 25 shots to remain undefeated in the post-season.
Kyle Marino and Quinn Foreman scored in regulation for the Warriors. Matt Greenfield took the loss in goal, despite a 40-save performance and second star honours.
The Vees now lead the best-of-seven playoff series 2-0, with the series shifting to Royal LePage Place in West Kelowna for games three and four starting Monday night.
