The driver of the Mazda, a 35-year-old woman, and her passenger, an 8-year-old girl, were both treated at Kelowna General for serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Highway 33 was closed in both directions for several hours as the RCMP collision reconstructionist completed a detailed analysis of the crash.
