Brazilian police to recreate scene of councilwoman’s murder
RIO DE JANEIRO – Police in Brazil will recreate the scene of last month’s murder of a Rio de Janeiro city councilwoman and her driver in an effort to track down their assailants.
Rio’s Public Security Secretary Richard Nunes told reporters Saturday that the scene is expected to be simulated in early May.
Human rights activist Marielle Franco and her driver Anderson Pedro Gomes were shot dead on March 14 while returning from an event focused on empowering young black women.
So far no arrests have been made.
