Police in Ontario, British Columbia, make 10 arrests in major drug bust

TORONTO – Police in two provinces say they’ve arrested 10 people in a major marijuana trafficking operation.

Police in Toronto and Vancouver say a seven-month-long investigation into the ring culminated Tuesday with 11 raids across the two cities.

They say they seized 295 kilograms of marijuana, $660,000 in cash and eight vehicles in the raids.

Eight men from Ontario and two from British Columbia are facing a raft of charges.

They include trafficking a controlled substance, laundering proceeds of crime and participating in a criminal organization.

Vancouver police say the B.C.-based suspects will be sent back to Ontario to face charges.
