No joke: Comedian Kevin Hart organizes ‘serious’ run through Atlanta park via Twitter

ATLANTA – Actor and comedian Kevin Hart woke up his 19.6 million Twitter followers not with a joke but with a serious invitation for a run through Atlanta’s Piedmont Park on Friday.

“Up & at it…we are about to get this spontaneous 5K run in this morning!!!!” he tweeted.

And he made sure fans knew he wanted only those who were ready to run.

He tweeted: “I’m serious about this” and “This is about health & challenging yourselves.”

The run was part of his partnership with Rally Health.

More than 100 people showed up for the run and Hart told WAGA-TV he was impressed with the turnout.

Hart, who’s been in movies including “Ride Along” and “Think Like A Man,” is scheduled to perform Friday and Saturday nights in Atlanta.
