Warmer weather for last week of spring break in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS – The sun will be out and the mercury rising for the final week of spring break in Kamloops, something many parents should be thankful for this week.
Environment Canada is calling for a high of 15 Celsius today, March 28, and temperatures will continue to climb through the week, with highs in the 20s expected by Thursday. The normal seasonal high at this time of year is 14 C.
Overnight lows are also expected to be above seasonal normals of 1 C, with tonight forecast to be the coolest at 4 C. The rest of the week, lows of just 6 C or 7 C are expected.
Along with the warmer temperatures, sun is forecast for every day this week. Today is also expected to be a bit windy, with gusts of up to 50 kilometres per hour expected.
If you are hitting the highways today expect snow and slippery sections on Highway 5 and Highway 97C after heavy snow overnight.
