TORONTO – The CFL handed Montreal Alouettes linebacker Henoc Muamba and Edmonton Eskimos defensive back Aaron Grymes maximum fines Wednesday for separate spearing incidents last week.
Muamba was fined for spearing quarterback Chris Streveler of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers while Grymes was penalized for a similar incident involving Hamilton Tiger-Cats receiver Brandon Banks.
As per league policy, the amounts of the fines were not disclosed.
