Bus service launches new routes into southwest Colorado

DENVER – Colorado’s bus service is launching new routes connecting residents of the state’s southwest corner to the Interstate 70 corridor.

The Denver Post reports Bustang’s new route between Grand Junction and Durango begins this weekend as well as a route between Gunnison and Denver.

The bus service between Denver and Grand Junction will begin running for the first time Friday.

The Colorado Department of Transportation’s southwest Outrider service will run buses once a day in each direction starting Saturday.

The six-hour trip between Grand Junction and Durango will run seven days a week with a one-way fare costing $42. The bus route will service Mancos, Cortez, Dolores, Rico, Telluride, Placerville, Ridgway, Montrose and Delta.

The bus service added new routes earlier this year connecting cities along Interstate 25.
