The Latest: Man, woman found dead in Helena house were shot

HELENA, Mont. – The Latest on two bodies found inside a Helena home (all times local):

Investigators say a man and a woman who were found dead inside a Helena home were apparently shot.

The Independent Record reports officers dispatched to the home Monday morning found a 26-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman dead. The victims’ names have not been released, and investigators have not detailed the circumstances of the shooting.

Police say they are not actively looking for a suspect, and there is no concern for public safety.

Deputy Coroner Tim Wong says the bodies have been taken to the state crime lab in Missoula.

Authorities in Montana are investigating two bodies found inside a Helena house.

The Helena Police Department said officers were called to the house in the central part of the city at about 10 a.m. Monday and found the bodies of a man and woman inside.

The area was sealed off as a crime scene, but authorities said they were not actively looking for a suspect and there was no immediate threat to public safety.

The identities of the deceased were not immediately released.
