It was a major inconvenience for people in Peachland, but it’s over now.
The boil water advisor issued on Friday has now been lifted.
That means residents won’t have to boil the tap water before drinking it.
The notice was issued thanks to the heavy rains last week stirring up Deep Creek. The District of Peachland water department said the turbidity level was too high.
The “boil water advisory” has been replaced by a “water quality advisory.” The water quality advisory is issued when water quality is considered “fair.”
Anyone with any questions can give the District of Peachland’s water department a call at (250) 767-2647.
