Not bad, not bad at all. Four Kelowna Rockets were drafted by NHL teams at the NHL entry draft in New Jersey on Sunday.

They include defencemen Madison Bowey and Mitchell Wheaton, as well as, forwards Tyrell Goulbourne and Myles Bell.

Bowey was the highest rated Rockets player to be selected. The the skilled defenceman was taken in the second round and 53rd overall by the Washington Capitals.

"Such a surreal feeling," Bowey tweeted after the draft. "So proud to be joining such a great organization. Can't wait to get started with the team."

Then, unexpectedly, the Philadephia Flyers grabbed hard-nosed, Rockets’ winger Tyrell Goulbourne in the third round with the 72nd overall pick. It was unexpected because Goulbourne wasn't listed by NHL Central Scouting.

"OH MY GOD! What an honour!!! Thank you (Flyers)," Goulbourne tweeted.

Mitchell Wheaton, the towering 6-foot-5 defenceman, was taken by Detroit in the fifth round and 139th overall.

The Kelowna Rockets’ leading scorer Myles Bell was drafted by the New Jersey Devils. The Devils took Bell in the sixth round and 160th overall.
