Vernon cops shut down dial-a-dope operation

VERNON – RCMP in Vernon have wrapped up an investigation into a dial-a-dope drug operation with the arrest of a 22-year-old Surrey man.

Police say officers stopped a vehicle in the 3000-block of Pleasant Valley Road and arrested the suspect on Tuesday, April 5.

The suspect was in possession of an undisclosed amount of heroin, cash and what police call “drug trafficking paraphernalia.”

A 22-year old Surrey man is facing a charge of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and will be appearing in court at a future date.
