Bruins centre Patrice Bergeron wins Selke Trophy as best defensive forward
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Patrice Bergeron of the Boston Bruins has won the Selke Trophy as the NHL’s best defensive forward for the third time in four years.
Bergeron led the league in faceoffs, winning 60.2 per cent of his draws.
He beat out Jonathan Toews of the Chicago Blackhawks and Anze Kopitar of the Los Angeles Kings to win the Selke.
Five-time all-star Pat Lafontaine presented the award to Bergeron.
