CAWSTON – An early season wildfire is now under control in the Similkameen Valley.
B.C. wildfire crews have contained a 16-hectare blaze that broke out about four kilometres east of Cawston on Saturday, April 9, according to a media release.
Fourteen firefighters contained the fire yesterday and crews are in the mop-up stage this morning.
No structures were threatened by the fire, which is suspected to have been human caused.
An investigation in the cause is ongoing.
