Volunteers search for lost stuffed bunny in Princeton
PRINCETON – Search and rescue members took to the streets of Princeton this weekend to try and find a young Princeton girl’s lost ‘Bunny Bunny’.
A mom put out a plea on social media last week after she realized her daughter lost her beloved stuffed animal while out for a walk in Princeton, asking for anyone who finds the little yellow-green bunny to help bring it home.
Princeton Ground Search and Rescue training officer Lindsay van Genne saw the post and the next day volunteers were combing the area as part of a training exercise.
The rescue group used the opportunity as a formal training opportunity and team managers treated it as a real search, the group says in a media release. They gathered information and determined the most probable areas the bunny could be in.
Unfortunately the team was unable to locate the missing stuffed animal, but they asked the young girl to give Mr. Bear a new home.
“Hopefully this stuffy will stay in his seat for this next wagon ride,” the group says in the release.
