This ‘new driver’ won’t be driving again any time soon, thanks to Salmon Arm RCMP

SALMON ARM – RCMP had to arrange a safe ride home for a 'new driver' after the person was caught screaming down a Salmon Arm street at a dangerous speed on Sunday.

RCMP say an officer spotted the vehicle “obviously exceeding the speed limit” on 20 Avenue NE in Salmon Arm on April 10.

The car was going 130 kilometres per hour in a 50 km/h zone, according to a RCMP media release.

Staff Sgt. Scott West says the new driver was pulled over, ticketed for speeding and the vehicle was impounded.
