The Kamloops Sports Council 26th Annual Athletic Awards winners announced

KAMLOOPS – The Kamloops Sports Council is pleased to announce the recipients of the 26th Annual Athletic Awards. We would like to congratulate all the nominees, the Kamloops Sports Hall of Fame inductees and our guest speaker Scott Rintoul.

Here are the award recipients in each of the eight award categories:

Female Athlete of the Year Nominees
– Sara Spence – speed skating

Male Athlete of the Year Nominees
– Derek Yachison – football

Master Athlete of the Year
– Peter Findlay – multi sport

Coach of the Year
– Wai Ma – volleyball

Team of the Year
– Team Brown – curling

Sport Person of the Year
– Ashley Shannik – volleyball

International Excellence
– Joe Hicketts – hockey

University Award Nominees
