Companies reporting major news:

Indigo Books & Music Inc. (TSX:IDG). Retail. Up 62 cents, or 6.08 per cent, to $10.82 on 1,295 shares. CEO Heather Reisman said at her company’s annual general meeting that Indigo is poised for expansion and well placed to navigate the choppy waters of Canadian retail as it moves beyond books to becoming a “cultural department store.”

Iamgold Corp. (TSX:IMG). Miner. Down 10 cents, or 3.73 per cent, to $2.58 on 1.5 million shares. The Toronto-based miner is pulling back its full-year production forecasts by roughly five per cent after a seismic disruption at its Westwood mine in Quebec last month. The company says it’s still assessing the financial impact, but that lower production is expected to “adversely impact” costs at the location.
