Residents are invited to review the concept design for the Sutherland Avenue Active Transportation Corridor.
Thursday, April 28
4 – 6:30 p.m.
Coast Capri Hotel, 1171 Harvey Avenue
“Sutherland Avenue has been identified as the major east-west Active Transportation Corridor due to its central location and opportunities for improved connectivity,” said Mahesh Tripathi, Traffic Technician. “Staff will be available at the session to answer questions and provide an opportunity for input.”
The corridor is planned to include a two-way cycle track separated from traffic by a concrete median and existing parking on the south side will be retained.
Construction is planned in phases, with completion anticipated by 2020. Design for the section between Ethel Street and Gordon Drive will be completed in 2016 with construction expected to begin in 2017.
