Flipped semi closes highway 97

KAMLOOPS – Highway 97 is down to one lane roughly 30 kms outside of Kamloops due to a flipped tractor trailer.

Traffic was heavily backed upon the westbound lane, east of Kamloops. The truck was carrying wood pallets. The driver of the truck was taken by ambulance. Injuries are undetermined.

It appeared the truck took a turn too fast and spilled its load. No other vehicles were impacted but five fuel trucks are stuck waiting to get through.

The scene is currently being cleaned.
