Wine delivery truck flipped in Penticton crash

PENTICTON – Wine is flowing down the street following a collision between a delivery truck and a car is tying up traffic this morning in Penticton.

The crash happened around 9 a.m. today, April 19, at Penticton Avenue and Government Street, according to witness Tom Jones.

He says a delivery truck carrying a load of wine was flipped over in the middle of the road after colliding with a four-door Honda. Both vehicles were badly damaged.

According to Jones, the driver of the Honda was taken from the scene by ambulance. The truck driver was seen speaking with emergency personnel.

While Jones was at the scene, he says no traffic was being allowed through.

He says there is product from the delivery truck, and some broken glass, on the road and expects the area will be blocked off for some time as crews clean up the debris.
