KAMLOOPS, B.C. – An investigation is underway after three paramedics were allegedly assaulted in Kamloops, B.C.
Kamloops RCMP say they were called to Royal Inland Hospital at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday about reports of a man kicking and punching paramedics.
Staff Sgt. Ed Preto says the 54-year-old man was believed to be intoxicated.
He encountered the paramedics while awaiting treatment at the hospital.
Preto says a suspect was restrained by hospital security staff.
He has since been released from hospital, but remained in police custody early Thursday. (CHNL)
