HAMILTON – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats added Canadian running back/receiver Anthony Coombs to their practice roster Wednesday.
The 26-year-old Winnipeg native spent five seasons with the Toronto Argonauts before being released. The five-foot-nine, 190-pound former Manitoba Bisons star appeared in just two games in 2018, registering six catches for 85 yards and a TD and two yards rushing on two carries.
Toronto selected Coombs in the first round, No. 3 overall, in the 2014 CFL draft and he was a member of the Argos’ 2017 Grey Cup-winning squad.
