Blue Jays’ Jose Bautista replaced on American League MLB all-star roster

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista will miss the MLB all-star game on Tuesday while receiving treatment for a sore shoulder.

Minnesota Twins second baseman Brian Dozier will replace Bautista on the American League’s roster, the league announced on Saturday.

Bautista was named to his sixth consecutive all-star game earlier this week after being voted in through a player ballot — a combination of votes from players, managers and coaches.

He went 1-for-5 with one run Saturday against the Kansas City Royals.

Bautista has 17 home runs and 59 runs batted in this season.
