Looking for a forever home; Vernon SPCA pet of the week

This handsome giant was brought in as his owner was moving and could not take him with them.

Pongo is an eight-and-a-half year old boy who has over-indulged in some of the finer things life has to offer — namely food. This boy now needs to be on a weight management program until he can relocate his waistline, and we know he can do it.

Staff and volunteers are working on an exercise plan to help this cutie get healthy and also enjoy his time in our care as much as possible. We hope before we know it he will be dancing his way into someone's heart and headed into his forever home.

Pongo loves attention of any kind, he will roll on his back and wait not so patiently for his pets. He is quite chatty at times as well and will often answer you with a quiet meow.

If you are interested in this butterball please inquire with staff at the Vernon and District B.C. SPCA.

Visit the Vernon SPCA page for more info such as location, adoption fees, and hours of operation.
