MONTREAL – Montreal Alouettes safety Kyries Hebert is expected to start in the CFL East Division after injuring an ankle this week.
Coach Marc Trestman said Saturday that Hebert looked well enough to be in the lineup against the Toronto Argonauts on Sunday afternoon.
“Our trainer is a conservative guy and he says Kyries is almost 100 per cent, so unless there’s a major change on Sunday we expect he will play,” said Trestman.
The news was a relief for the Alouettes, who have had a run of injuries to their defence this season.
