VANCOUVER – The Vancouver Park Board is apologizing after a releasing an erroneous report that a swimmer had died after being rescued from apool on Sunday evening.
A spokeswoman for the board says a swimmer was rescued from Killarney Pool and emergency responders took over.
She says the initial statement, which said the person later died, was incorrect.
The board says it has apologized to the family and the individual.
The spokeswoman says the board will review how it confirms information before it is released.
