Billy Idol brings his lip-curling sneer to the Okanagan

KELOWNA – Get ready to enjoy a blast from the past as Billy Idol’s North American tour makes a stop in Kelowna this summer.

The 1980s rock icon, who is described as a guilty pleasure by some, will bring his fist-pumping hits like White Wedding, Rebel Yell and Mony Mony to Prospera Place in Kelowna on Thursday, July 14.

Idol’s first studio album in almost a decade, Kings & Queens of the Underground, was released in October 2014 just weeks after his autobiography Dancing With Myself hit shelves, according to a media release.

The rocker, who perfected the lip-curling sneer, plays Kelowna before doing a set at the Pemberton Music Festival.

Tickets, which start at roughly $60, go on sale for the Prospera Place show on sale Friday, May 6, at 10 a.m. through www.selectyourtickets.com and the Prospera Place Box Office.
