Canada’s Kiejko wins gold in women’s 25-metre pistol at Pan Am Games

TORONTO – Canada’s Lynda Kiejko swept the women’s pistol events the Pan American Games after winning the women’s 25-metre pistol event Wednesday.

The Calgary native beat Sandra Uptagrafft 7-3 in the final round to earn Canada’s third shooting gold of the Games.

Kiejko also won gold in the women’s 10-metre air pistol on Sunday.

Lea Wachowich of Redwater, Alta., fell 7-3 to Mexico’s Mariana Nava in the bronze-medal match.
