KAMLOOPS – The City of Kamloops has contracted with HRC Construction to carry out rehabilitation work on Tumbleweed Bridge, also known as Lafarge Bridge.
Work will commence May 9, 2016, with anticipated completion by the end of August 2016.
The project will be limited to the rehabilitation of the bridge piers and deck soffits and will not involve repairs to the bridge deck. However, motorists traveling across the bridge will be impacted as construction crews will need to access the work on the piers from the bridge deck. Temporary traffic signals will be installed at both ends of the bridge for traffic control.
Once the Tumbleweed Bridge rehabilitation project begins, the city will post regular construction updates on the city’s website.
