Rules set for Canadian Premier League final between Calvary FC and Forge FC
TORONTO – The Canadian Premier League has confirmed the two-legged final between Calgary’s Cavalry FC and Hamilton’s Forge FC will be decided by aggregate score with away goals as a tiebreaker.
If the teams are still tied at the end of regulation time in the second leg, the game will go straight to penalty kicks. There will be no extra time.
Forge will host the first leg Oct. 26 at Tim Hortons Field with the rematch Nov. 2 in Calgary at ATCO Field at Spruce Meadows.
The series will decide the Canadian league’s first champion.
