RCMP looking for pickups stolen from Lake Country car dealership

LAKE COUNTRY – Two pickup trucks were stolen from a used car dealership in Lake Country on the weekend and the RCMP are asking for the public’s help to find them.

Police say they were called at about 7:04 a.m., Sunday, May 9, about the theft of the two pickups from Lake Country Motor Sports on Glenmore Road and Highway 97.

The suspects smashed a window in the office, reached in and stole two sets of keys, according to a RCMP media release.

A black 2011 Chevrolet Silverado with Vehicle Identification Number 1GC4K1C85BF165951 and a black 2005 GMC Sierra with B.C. licence plate DW6500 and VIN number 1GTJK33245F826030 were stolen.

If you live in the area and saw something out of the ordinary around the car lot you’re asked to call Const. Dave Caley with the Lake Country RCMP at 250-766-2288. Remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, leaving a tip online at www.crimestoppers.net or by texting your tip to CRIMES (274637) ktown.
