Memoir by mother of Columbine shooter Dylan Klebold coming in February 2016

NEW YORK, N.Y. – A memoir by the mother of Columbine shooter Dylan Klebold is scheduled for 2016, and will be launched with a prime-time interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer.

Crown Publishers told The Associated Press on Thursday that Sue Klebold’s “A Mother’s Reckoning” will be published Feb. 16. The book was first announced last fall, but didn’t have a title or release date.

Sue Klebold’s interview with Sawyer will air around publication. It will be Klebold’s first-ever TV interview.

Klebold has said the Sandy Hook shootings of 2012 helped convince her to share her story, and that she is donating any profits to mental health charities and research.

In 1999, Dylan Klebold and fellow senior student Eric Harris killed 12 students and one teacher at the Colorado high school before taking their own lives.
