Elections Canada returns show which riding associations have the most money in the bank

OTTAWA – A riding association with a lot of savings will have a big advantage during what is expected to be an extra-long election campaign this year. Here are the top 10 richest Conservative riding associations based on financial returns filed this month to Elections Canada:

Calgary Southwest (MP: Stephen Harper): $444,373.15

Calgary Midnapore (Jason Kenney): $311,357.41

St. Catharines (Rick Dykstra): $305,078.66

Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston (Scott Reid): $295,985.39

Port Moody-Westwood-Port Coquitlam (James Moore*): $283,752.95

Ottawa West-Nepean (John Baird*): $236,356.62

Eglinton-Lawrence (Joe Oliver): $214,135.59

Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry (Guy Lauzon): $212,261.52

St. Paul’s (No incumbent MP): $199,385.13

Edmonton Riverbend (James Rajotte*) $194,699.98

*=Indicates the MP has resigned or is not seeking re-election.
